Even if we are just in mid January surrounded by snow, fashion is already deep into spring. Luxurious stores are already full with branded pieces of clothes, without of which you won’t manage to imagine your next spring season. There is already couple of styles that are absolute “must have”, like Trench Coat, geometry cutting, prints and army “chic”.
Since 1856, when Thomas Burberry first launched it, Trench coat has always become part of autumn collection. However, high fashion houses for the first time recommend it for the next spring season. Oscar de la Renta, Dior and Burberry Prorsum have opted for promoting coats, either medium or bit short tailored. They combine this coat with short breezy and silk skirts and dresses. Fashion experts came up with this combination to make rigidity of coat bit softer.
Combining Trench coats and plane dresses with strong cuts has become a bit hit, something already seen from Japanese designers. Now, this kind of style is also appearing in European and American fashion houses. From Calvin Klein and Donne Karan to the Celine and Yves Saint Laurent, everybody suggests geometric lines and mathematics punctuality, which highlights the sexy side of female. Special hit is the little black dress, totally impersonal, from Calvin Klein. By contrast, creators have been working also for romantic souls. Dries Van Noten includes transparent lace dresses in his collection, while Chanel for his clothes has been inspired by French village. If with “first swallows” a woman wants to be absolute trend setter, soft embroidered shirts in combination with silk skirts are absolutely “must have”.
Next fashion hits are prints and army “chic” style. Psychedelic print can only be seen in spring collection of fashion houses like Dries Van Noten and Givency. There is the feeling that “print” will soon start invading the stores all around the world as soon as spring season kicks off. Interestingly, one of this season’s trends are recycling from the ‘90s, like transparent blouses made with chiffon. Color or cut is not important, what matters is a sexy bra underneath or, for less brave girls, a black top. This look has been made famous by Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and Nina Ricci. In this coming spring, Army “chic” will be very often seen through the army jackets made of light materials and feminine cutting. Balman and Oscar de la Renta used to make jackets for men only but in combination with lace skirts or silk scarves they recently just invented a completely new interesting look for women.
With the arrival of warm and sunny days, if a woman wants to be fashionable and stylish, she should definitely possess a Trench coat of some light material in soft color of sand or lead. The coat should combine with voluminous dress with psychedelic and strong colors, totally in contrast to the coat. For daily-casual or night-elegant combination, it is impossible to make mistake.
This “look” in combination with many other ideas is without doubt first-class ticket for any woman who wants to reach the status of fashion icon.
