What Styles Fit You

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to a woman is to find that a blouse or a dress that she finds appealing does nothing for her figure. Shopping can be quite frustrating if you don’t know what styles fit you. Most women don’t have a perfect body and there is some feature that they would rather change or hide. By choosing the styles that fit, you can make the best of your body shape and size.

Pear shaped: If you have a pear shaped body then you should opt for clothes that give your body a balanced look. Don’t hide your lower body under shapeless skirts and pants. Instead opt for A-line skirts and boot cut trousers that create a wonderful streamline. The idea is to take the attention away from your hips. Wear dark colored pants and skirts to make your lower body look slimmer. Also avoid baggy tops that make your hips look bigger. If you are going to wear long tops be sure that they are well tailored and fit well at the waist. Don’t hesitate to wear colorful and attractive tops with your skirts and pants.

Big busted: Wear a well fitting bra that is comfortable. Too often big busted women are uncomfortable simply because they wear ill fitting bras that make them look like they are bursting out of them. Avoid tops in styles that focus on your bust line. This includes polo necks and tops that can’t be worn with a bra inside them. Wear a blouse that has a V neck (not too deep) or a wrap around style top that puts the attention on the waist.

Boyish: The best part about a boyish figure is that you can carry of most styles. Don’t look for padded clothing; instead look for styles that accentuate your natural form. Try trousers in any styles, except for the wide legged kind. Dress in tops that show off your slender form, try V necks and halter necks. Choose pretty prints that you like and avoid very bright colors that could attention away from your figure.

Voluptuous: It is important for voluptuous women to measure themselves properly and buy well fitting clothes. Don’t clothe yourself in clothes that are either too tight or too loose on your body. The idea is to accentuate the natural curves in your body, in the size that they are in. Look for clothes with clean lines and cuts, and avoid clingy clothes such as tights. Avoid bright colors and tiny prints. Instead look for blouses and dresses with big prints. They will help make your shape look smaller.

Use colors and prints to accentuate some body parts and take the focus off others. Dark colors make you look slimmer, while lighter ones give the appearance of a larger size. Mix and match colors and clothing to find combinations those work well for you. Remember the clothing you wear should make you feel confident about yourself and show off your figure well.
