The style you choose to wear your hair affects the way your facial features are highlighted and how you look. You don’t have to spend hours to change your hairstyle. In fact, it can take ten minutes or less to try a new hairstyle. It is especially useful to change your hairdo when you are having a bad hair day.
The basic hair grooming tools that you would need include a hair brush, comb, a hair band, clips, elastic bands and accessories. Hair spray, gel, blow dryer and a curling iron would also be useful in creating a new hairstyle in a short period of time. Whichever styles you decide to try, you need to begin by brushing or combing your hair. If you want to instantly add some volume to your hair, back comb it.
Of braids and buns
A braid is an easy way to keep your hair off your face. You could create two side braids, and add the hair at the back to create a single braid. One can also braid the hair on the sides and pull it back to make a bun. A messy bun can be created in minutes. Brush your hair and use an elastic band to hold it back and create the right effect. You would also need bobby pins to secure the hair properly.
You may like to create a chic and sophisticated look with a chopstick bun. Hold the hair together at the nape and then twist it around a chopstick and work it into a bun. If you are in a hurry, you could also use a pencil to keep the bun in place. You can also twist your tresses and twirl it into place and use a bejeweled hair comb or a barrette to keep the hair up.
For a neat and simple hairstyle try wearing your hair in a high ponytail. Do brush your hair well and use an elastic band that will hold the hair properly. To create an informal look, one could braid the hair on one side and leave the rest of your tresses open. One can also use a barrette or hair clips to push back the hair from the sides and secure it at the top of the head. The rest of the hair can be left open. A simple cloth hair band can be used to create the girl-next-door look.
Curls and all
To create some sensual curls, use a round brush to free your hair of tangles and then blow dry. Divide the hair into three or four sections and use a curling iron. Do ensure that the curls are rolled in the same direction. Once you have completed curling your tresses, use hair spray to ensure that they don’t come undone.
If hair styling fascinates you, you would enjoy studying it at The Esani Institute. The institute is a Paul Mitchell Partner School. It offers a curriculum that is designed to suit the varied learning styles of students.
