Eyebrows have a natural arch. Sometimes the arch may not be where you want it to be and it may take a while to create the desired look and arch. The arch is usually where the iris or the colored part of your eye is. In other words, the arch is more or less at the center of your eyebrow. Hastily plucked hair can create a misbalanced look, which will take weeks to balance out. If you have a few hair that are ruining the affect of the shape, then take them out, as long as the basic shape of the eyebrow is unaffected.
Eyebrows can be shaped by plucking them with a pair of tweezers. You may also opt for threading, which is a way to remove hair by trapping it between two threads and pulling it out. You could also trim the eyebrows. Do remember to use some eye gel to maintain the shape of the eyebrows.
The shape of your face and your eyebrow
The shape of your eyebrow can help balance out your face. For instance, if you have a long face, then a flat eyebrow shape can help it look more balanced. There are basically six face shapes such as: round, oval, square, diamond, long and heart. Here are some tips on how to choose a shape that look great on your face.
Oval shape: The oval shaped face is balanced and does not need the eyebrows to balance it out. Ideally one should opt for a soft angle or arch for the eyebrow design.
Round face: Well shaped eyebrows can make a round face look longer and achieve a balanced look. You should avoid a rounded arch and opt for a more vertical high arch for the eyebrows.
Heart shape: A heart shaped face looks great with rounded arches at the eyebrows. For a natural look you could go with low arch round eyebrows. If yours is a small face, a higher arch at the eyebrows will make it seem longer.
Long face: A flat eyebrow shape will add the illusion of width to a long face.
Square face: A strong jaw line is the defining feature of a square face and the eyebrows can be shaped in manner to make the face look softer. Thick eyebrows with a sharp arch can help balance a square face.
Diamond shape: The diamond shaped face is angular, and well curved eyebrows can soften the look of the face. You may also want to try the curved brow shape.
